Picked fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors in 2021, Scottie Barnes has established himself as one of the key players on the Raptors roster. Known for his great two-way ability, Barnes averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game in his rookie NBA season.

Barnes began his basketball career at Cardinal Newman High School, where he earned All-Area second team and freshman All-American honors. He then shifted to NSU University School, where he played his sophomore and junior seasons. In those two years, Barnes led NSU to two consecutive 5A State Championships.

To further bolster his prospects, Barnes joined the Montverde academy and played alongside future NBA stars Cade Cunningham and Day’Ron Sharpe. He graduated from Montverde as a consensus five-star recruit and on November 13, 2019, signed the letter of intent with the Florida State Seminoles. After a standout freshman season at Florida State, Barnes declared for the 2021 NBA Draft.

In 20 games so far in the 2023/24 season, Barnes is averaging 19.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
