Born on July 12, 1998, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, also known as SGA, is a Canadian professional basketball player who plays for the OKC Thunder. The Charlotte Hornets selected SGA with the 11th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft but traded him to the LA Clippers on draft night. After one season in LA, SGA was traded to the Thunder in July 2019. In the 2023/24 season, he led OKC to the number one seed in the west. He averaged 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 2.0 steals per game over 75 games in the 2023-24 regular season as per Basketball Reference.
In his first season with the Thunder, SGA emerged as the team’s top scorer, leading the team to the playoffs as the fifth seed.
