Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal, better known as Shaq, was born on March 6, 1972, in Newark, New Jersey. Shaq is 7 feet 1 inch (2.16 meters) tall and weighs 325 pounds (147 kg). He spent his 19-year career playing for six different teams including the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics. Shaq is a four-time NBA champion, he won the title with the Lakers in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and with the Miami Heat in 2006.

Shaq was a dominant Center in the NBA, who was almost impossible to stop during the games. He was awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1993 and was awarded the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2000. Shaquille O’Neal was in Cole High School in San Antonio, Texas and he was well known as a basketball player. While at Cole, he guided the team to a 68-1 record in two seasons, and 36-0 in his final season. Shaq was a force to reckon with as he scored an average of 32 points, 22 rebounds and 8 blocks per game while in high school, as per My San Antonio. This led him to be named to the McDonald’s All-American game in 1989. In the game, he was named the co-MVP. Shaq was also named Texas Mr. Basketball in 1989.
