Spencer Dinwiddie is returning to the Brooklyn Nets. The 6-foot-5 combo guard previously played in Brooklyn for five years and has now rejoined the team through a blockbuster trade that sent Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks.

Nets fans are familiar with Dinwiddie as he's had several incredible performances in Brooklyn. The 29-year-old guard had his breakout season with the Nets back in 2019-20.

Dinwiddie hasn't worn a Nets jersey since December 2020, when he tore his ACL in a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. He then had stints with the Washington Wizards and the Dallas Mavericks, but will now have a chance to represent Brooklyn once again in a few days' time.

Kyrie Irving joined the Nets in the 2019-20 season and Dinwiddie was moved to the bench. However, as soon as Irving went down with a shoulder injury, Dinwiddie replaced him and was fantastic.

With Kyrie Irving gone, Dinwiddie will once again be relied on heavily by the Nets. He will have to share the court with Kevin Durant, who is one of the best scorers in the league's history, but there is no doubt that the two of them can play well together.
