St. Xaviers basketball tournament starts in Kathmandu, Nepal

Action between the hosts St. Xavier’s College and CIT College

The 1st St. Xaviers Bachelors Level Basketball Tournament started off at St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar, Kathmandu, Nepal on Sunday with 10 colleges participating. The finals will be held on September 15, 2013 .

This the first tournament of its kind in Nepal among the Bachelor Level students and the organizers aim to provide the opportunity for the students to interact among themselves through basketball.

On the opening match of the tournament, hosts St. Xavier’s College beat CITE 39 – 25 while NATHM beat CAB 36 – 10 in another match.

The participating teams are divided in to two pools and the pool winners and runners up will proceed to the semifinals of the tournament.
