With a 67-15 record in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors went into the playoffs with home-court advantage. The Warriors were unstoppable, as they swept the Pelicans (4-0) in the first round.
They then beat the Memphis Grizzlies (4-2) and the Houston Rockets (4-1) to reach the NBA Finals. Stephen Curry won his first NBA championship, where the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games. The Warriors made history that year, earning recognition for their new style of play.

Point guard Stephen Curry’s career-best playmaking season was in 2013-14. He dished 666 assists, averaging 8.5 assists per game.
Throughout the regular season, he averaged 24 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He made his first All-Star appearance during the season, and has not missed making the team since then. Curry led the league with 261 made three-pointers.
Stephen Curry’s career-best tally of 16 assists in a single game came against the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz in the 2013-14 season. Little did the league know that Curry would become one of the top players over the next few years.
