Steven Adams is a New Zealand professional basketball center for the Houston Rockets in the 2025 NBA season. He was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder as the 12th overall pick in 2013. After his impressive rookie season, Adams was nominated to the All-NBA second rookie team. After spending seven seasons with the Thunder, Adams played one season for the New Orleans Pelicans. In December of 2011, Adams attended Notre Dame Preparatory School in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, for a semester.

In the 2022/23 NBA season, Steven Adams played 42 games for the Memphis Grizzlies and averaged 8.6 points to go along with 11.5 rebounds (career high) and 2.3 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, as per Statmuse. In February 2024, Adams was traded to the Rockets during his recovery from a PCL injury in a blockbuster trade for Victor Oladipo.
