Talen Horton-Tucker or “THT” as he is referred by the NBA fans, had an outstanding high school career at Simeon Career Academy where he led them to three consecutive City Championships, and he earned recognition as a four-star athlete. Following high school, he played one college season at Iowa State, and declared for the draft.

In the 2019 NBA Draft, Horton-Tucker was selected as the 46th overall pick by the Orlando Magic but was subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on draft night in exchange for a 2020 second-round draft pick and cash considerations.

During his rookie season with the Lakers, Horton-Tucker didn't receive many opportunities but he was part of the title-winning Lakers team. Notably, he made history by becoming the second-youngest player to win an NBA championship at 19 years and 322 days old. In his second year, he saw increased playing time, and was a constant part of the Lakers bench unit.

Currently, Horton-Tucker plays for the Utah Jazz and is recognized as a proficient two-way shooting guard. In the 2023-24 NBA season, he averaged 10.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, shooting 40.2% from the field and 33.1% from 3-point range in 40 games played, with an average of 19.9 minutes per game.
