THT was selected as 46th overall pick by the Orlando Magic. However, the rights were traded to the Los Angeles Lakers the same night. During his rookie season with the Lakers, Horton-Tucker's opportunities were limited, but he was part of the historic title-winning team. Notably, he etched his name in the record books by becoming the second-youngest player to win an NBA championship at the tender age of 19 years and 322 days old.

In his second year with the Lakers, Horton-Tucker's role expanded, and he became a constant presence on the bench unit, showcasing his skills and potential as a valuable contributor.

In 2022, Horton-Tucker was traded to the Utah Jazz, where he is recognized as a proficient two-way shooting guard. In the 2023-24 NBA season, he has demonstrated his versatility, averaging 10.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 0.9 steals per game.
