The Oklahoma City Thunder were only founded back in 2008, and this positions the franchise as the youngest in the NBA. Despite the short history of the team, the Thunder have already made a lot of noise in the NBA.
The team has failed to reach the playoffs only once since their debut season, and both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have been named MVP while on the Thunder roster. A Championship still alludes Billy Donovan's team, although they did reach the NBA Finals back in 2012.
The Thunder have also sported plenty of uniforms during their early success. While the team has a reputation for some of the worst uniforms in the league, here we look at the five best jerseys from OKC's first decade in the NBA.

#5: 2016 Christmas Alternate
This shirt was an incredibly simple jersey, although it had the feel of an instant classic. The different shade of blue was a welcome change, while the festive writing was a big improvement over earlier efforts. Overall it was easily Thunder's best Christmas jersey of all-time, although it should be noted that the other uniforms have been historically bad.
#4: Home White Jersey
Detractors may argue that this design features one too many colours, however, the Thunder's home outfit remains among the better white jerseys found around the NBA. The design has barely changed in the 10 years of Thunder basketball, and a large amount of recent history is attached to the uniform thanks to Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook's contributions to the young franchise.
#3 2018 City Edition
When the 2018 Nike 'City Edition' uniform was first announced, fans responses were mixed, although the design has since grown on the OKC fanbase. The uniform pays homage to Oklahoma’s large Native American heritage by including a few distinctive Native features such as the style of lettering. The turquoise color scheme is also a huge step away from the regular blue, however, this bold move has provided one of the Thunder's best jerseys yet.
#2: Thunder Road Blue
The longtime Thunder road jersey is almost identical in design to the home one, although the blue color scheme is much complimentary to the orange and black neck trim. The uniform is often the jersey of choice for the Thunder, and the blue colors match the Thunder's home court design at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Overall, it is the jersey that most people associate with the Durant and Westbrook era and hopefully, PG13 and Westbrook can further add to its legacy.
#1: 2017 Statement Uniforms
Nike's sponsorship of the NBA resulted in a new batch of jerseys rolling out across the league at the beginning of the 17/18 NBA season. Nike named the new jerseys 'statement editions' and their aesthetic's are meant to express the specific spirit of each team.
To put it simply, the Thunders first statement edition was a home run. The jersey featured orange lettering and neon blue trims around a dark blue base, and the new design was both the boldest and most exciting look the Thunder had ever sported. It was a big step in the right direction from the usual colours used on the Thunder's jerseys and thankfully, the team's brave jersey choices have continued since.
