It seemed Boston didn’t learn anything from the last game , they were pinned down by the Magic on game 5 of the eastern conference finals. Orlando can create history this season if they can level the series and try and win the finals because this has never happen in the NBA, when a team leads the series 3-0 they usually win it, but Celtics can be in the book as well for being the first team to lose after leading the series 3-0. “At this point we believe we can win the series,” Nelson said. “We have to stay humble and keep focused and remember how we won these last two games. I believe they have pressure on them right now, but they have veteran players with Hall of Famers and a great coach.”
This was the type of offence we all have been waiting for from the Magic. Vince and Lewis got them started with consecutive 3 pointers setting the largest lead in the series for the Magic. They were playing a similar game to the last breaking the Boston defence, we saw few minutes before half time Perkins out of the game with four technical fouls and it was the seventh of the post season which make him unavailable for the next match due to suspension.

Orlando was leading 45-37 late in the first half but Peirce and Rondo brought back to 57-51 in the second half. But the credit goes to Nelson with 24 points and Howard with 10 rebounds they got the Magic to where they belong. “People talk all the time about leadership and guys talking in the locker room and all that,” Van Gundy said. “I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, but what leads your teammates is playing that hard and people follow along. That’s leadership, and I think both of those guys, as our captains, came with great energy and great, great toughness, and that is he leadership you need.
Wallace had a game high of 21 points and hit two consecutive three’s before he was fouled out after blocking Nelson in the fourth quarter. Lewis and Redick finished the game with 14 points each, it was a good team effort from the home side finishing with 113-92, a lead one would never expect from the rookie team.
Game 6 in Boston will be a delight and a great game to watch. Boston has the advantage and still leads the series 3-2 which if they win the next game they will go to the finals but Magic won’t life that simple for 2008 champions.
