#3 The surprise of the NBA, Ja Morant
![The competition doesn't matter; Ja Morant will get his](https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=190 190w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=720 720w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=640 640w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/c6233-16358797096006-1920.jpg 1920w)
Can Ja Morant win NBA MVP this season? His early season numbers and spectacular plays are catapulting him into that conversation. Morant is putting up career highs in every major number: 28.3 points, 7.7 assists and 5.4 boards. The Memphis Grizzlies are 4-3, and as Morant and his mates mature throughout the NBA season, understand there will be many plays that Ja Morant will leave you speechless. He's doing it on the defensive end as well with incredible blocks of bigger players at the rim. Morant is just an athletic marvel, and has the intelligent skills to boot. It is almost expected that he will climb in the MVP discussion and it will be most interesting to see how he finishes in consideration of the award.

#2 Paul George
![Paul George is taking advantage of Kawhi Leonard's absence](https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=190 190w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=720 720w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=640 640w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/04ae5-16358797944129-1920.jpg 1920w)
Paul George is letting everyone know just how good he is, that their opinion of him is theirs and theirs only. In the absence of All-NBA swingman Kawhi Leonard, George is reestablishing himself as one of the most productive superstars in the NBA. PG13 is averaging 28.3 points, 8 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the underachieving 2-4 Los Angeles Clippers, and until Leonard returns after the NBA All-Star break, look for PG's numbers to remain steady if not increase. A good wing defender, all George needs is consistent help and the Clippers will begin to ascend to where they should be this season. Paul George is racking up the steals: he's stealing the rock at a 3.3 per game clip. Point guards and wing players? Look out.
#1 Steph Curry
![Otto might as well run back up the court](https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=190 190w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=720 720w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=640 640w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2021/11/b8dbc-16358799215676-1920.jpg 1920w)
This guy right here never ceases to amaze. Steph Curry is rolling through the NBA early for the not-so-surprising 5-1 Golden State Warriors. Everything seems to have come back to the fore early for the Dubs, and with averages of 28.7 points, 6.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds, Steph is putting the NBA on notice early that the Golden State Warriors are back. Can you imagine this team with a healthy Klay Thompson? How scary is that? Look to the future and see Golden State Warriors fans everywhere rejoice as their team competes for top spot in a loaded Western Conference.
