Last season, Bryant played an important role for the Lakers when Team starter Anthony Davis was sidelined by some injury. In 2023 free agency, Bryant was traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Miami Heat. After playing two seasons of college basketball, the Heat center entered the NBA Draft and was selected by the Utah Jazz and traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on the same draft night. He signed a rookie scale contract with the Lakers and played for the Lakers affiliate, South Bay Lakers for one year thus, inducted into the All NBA-G League First Team.
