Thomas Bryant plays as center for the Miami Heat in the NBA. He was drafted 42nd overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2017 after two standout seasons at Indiana University. However, Bryant only played one season for the Lakers as a rookie in 2017-18 before being waived.

In July 2018, Bryant was claimed off waivers by the Washington Wizards. He immediately stepped into a starting role for the Wizards, averaging 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 68.5% (league high) from the field in 2018-19. Bryant went on to spend four seasons in Washington, developing into a key frontcourt presence and regaining his confidence.

After four years in Washington, Bryant was traded back to the Lakers in July 2022. However, he spent just six months back with the Lakers before being moved again. In February 2023, Bryant was part of a four team trade that sent him to the Denver Nuggets.

With the Nuggets, Bryant got limited game time and did not feature for the team in the playoffs. The Nuggets won their first championship in franchise history last season.

In the 2023 offseason, Bryant signed a two-year contract with the Miami Heat. Now entering his seventh NBA season at 27 years old, Bryant joins a retooled Heat team and has now experienced a championship winning culture. He will look to help lead Miami back to contender status in the Eastern Conference.
