Gail Goodrich is the eight leading scorer for the Lakers. He scored 13,044 points, 2081 rebounds and 2863 assists for the franchise and also won one championship with them in 1972.
That year the Lakers won a league-high 69 games which include a 33-game winning streak in the regular season which holds the record for most consecutive wins by an NBA team.

It consisted of players like Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor and Gail Goodrich who averaged a career-high 25.9 points per game.
In the 1965 NBA Draft, Goodrich was a territorial pick and was selected by the Lakers. In his initial days, he played well but constantly struggled for minutes behind Jerry West.
However, in 1968, Lakers lost him in the expansion draft to the Phoenix Suns. In Phoenix, he got the role of the starting shooting guard where he blossomed, scoring 23.8 points per game along with 6.4 assists earning him his first All-Star selection.
For his career, Goodrich was a five-time All-Star and was All-NBA in 1973. He is also the third all-time scorer among lefties in NBA history. By the end of his career, Goodrich was 11th all-time in scoring and 10th all-time in assists.
