Who the most underrated players in NBA are is a common topic of conversation in and around the league. Here are ten guys who could take home that title.

Top 10 most underrated players in NBA:

10) Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors

Kicking off the list is someone that most might feel doesn't belong on a list like this. As a former No. 1 pick, it's impossible to be considered underrated. However, with the resurgence Andrew Wiggins had in Golden State, a case can be made for him.

Before coming to the Warriors, Wiggins had a reputation of not being a winning player. In a new situation, he proved how valuable he can be to a contender. His two-way play last playoffs was a key factor in Golden State adding another championship to their dynasty.

9) Luke Kennard, Los Angeles Clippers

In today's game, three-point shooting has become an important element of NBA offenses. That is why Luke Kennard of the LA Clippers certainly belongs in the discussion of most underrated players in NBA.

Every year, he is regularly among the league leaders in three-point percentage. Last year, he converted 44.9% of his attempts. So far this season, Kennard is shooting an incredible 47.9%.

8) Kyle Kuzma, Washington Wizards

It's been an interesting ride for Kyle Kuzma throughout his NBA career. While with the Lakers, he appeared to be a hidden gem that the franchise found with a late first-round pick. Due to playing the same position as LeBron James, it hindered his ability to show his full potential.

Now with an expanded role on the Washington Wizards, Kuzma is proving to be an All-Star level talent. This year, he is posting averages of 19.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. All among the highest marks of his career.

7) Jarrett Allen, Cleveland Cavaliers

Another All-Star talent that belongs in the most underrated players in NBA conversation is Cavaliers big man Jarrett Allen. While his role as a big man is clearly defined, there are few who thrive in that role better than him.

For starters, Allen is a stellar shot-blocker and rim protector. On top of that, his athleticism allows him to be a lob threat and strong rebounder. As far as rim-running centers go, Allen is easily the best in the game right now.

6) Gary Trent Jr., Toronto Raptors

Coming in at the sixth spot is another sharpshooter that deserves more credit. Since joining the Toronto Raptors, Gary Trent Jr. has emerged as one of the league's top shooters.

Along with being a reliable three-point shooter, Trent Jr. is also an above-average defender. His three-and-D style at the guard position easily lands him in the conversation for most underrated player in NBA right now.

5) Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors

Rounding out the top five is another Raptor in Fred VanVleet. The one-time All-Star and former champion is by far one of the top undrafted players in history.

People overlook VanVleet because of his size, but that does not stop him from being an high-impact player. He is more than capable of being a 20-point-per-game scorer, and is a pesky defender at the guard position. Due to the abundance of talent at his position, he often goes overlooked.

4) Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers

Next up is a player that is only just starting to get his due, Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers. After his emergence last season, he is by far one of the top underrated players in NBA.

So far this season, Garland is averaging 23.9 points and 8.2 assists while shooting 44% from beyond the arc. At 22-years-old, he is well on his way to being one of the top point guards in the league somewhere down the road.

3) Dejounte Murray, Atlanta Hawks

Another high-impact guard that doesn't get enough shine is Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray. He is a lockdown defender, and capable of filling up the box score every night.

Last year, Murray fell just shy of averaging a triple-double for the year. However, since it was for the San Antonio Spurs, it hardly got any coverage. That reason alone makes him of the most underrated players in NBA.

2) Seth Curry, Brooklyn Nets

Coming in at No. 2 is one of the most efficient shooters in NBA history. Seth Curry's NBA journey was not easy, but he's managed to leave his mark.

Over the years, Curry has become a highly-touted role player. While most know him for his shooting, his game has grown in recent seasons. In a bigger role, he's shown he has the ability to put the ball on the floor and create offense as well.

Since he's never really gotten the chance to fully display his game, Curry lands near the top of most underrated players in NBA.

1) Jrue Holiday, Milwaukee Bucks

For years now, Jrue Holiday has been widely regarded as the most underrated player in NBA. Dating back to his time with the Pelicans, he was an All-Star level talent that never got the credit he deserves.

To put it simply, Holiday is just a winning player. He is a strong defender, capable scorer, and is never shy of the big moments. The Milwaukee Bucks gave up a lot to acquire him, and it paid off handsomely.
