LeBron James faced off against old rivals Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in this playoff series. With the Miami Heat looking to complete their three-peat, they emerged as the team to beat.

Playing against Brooklyn in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Heat took a commanding 2-0 series lead. Having swept the Charlotte Hornets in the first round, the series showed signs of being another 4-0 win for the Heat.

The Brooklyn Nets turned things around in Game 3. With a 104-90 win, the series took an interesting turn.

But LeBron James, now an experienced veteran, stopped the Brooklyn Nets' momentum in Game 4. He put on an offensive showcase by recording 49 points, six rebounds and two assists along with three steals for the game. He had a very efficient game as he shot 66.7% from the field while shooting 50% from beyond the arc.

Miami went on to beat the Brooklyn Nets in five games to go on to reach the Conference Finals, where they faced the Indiana Pacers. Although the Heat eventually made their return to the NBA Finals, they came up short against the San Antonio Spurs, who beat them in five games.
