Hield is adept at shooting threes off the dribble, which makes him a Klay Thompson-like threat. He can pop up in dangerous areas, releasing an accurate three-point shot in a split second. He has also improved on defense considerably and would be a brilliant addition to any contender ahead of the upcoming season.

He eventually lost out to Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic but proved to the NBA fraternity that he is not done yet, despite missing a season due to a hand injury.
