Despite a disappointing playoff exit at the hands of the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers talisman Damian Lillard has had a decent 2021 so far. He is fresh off winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was one of the MVP candidates last season.

Lillard averaged 28 points and 7.5 assists per game in the 2020-21 season, shooting a stupendous 39% from downtown. He made a total of 275 threes, and his three-point shooting average rose to close to 45%, and Lillard remains one of the best shooters from distance in the league.

#2 - Buddy Hield, Sacramento Kings

Buddy Hield has been consistently linked with multiple teams this offseason, and for good measure. Hield made a staggering 282 threes in the 2020-21 season, shooting 39.1% from downtown. Hield averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, putting a disappointing 2019-20 NBA campaign behind him.

Hield is adept at shooting threes off the dribble, which makes him a Klay Thompson-like threat. He can pop up in dangerous areas, releasing an accurate three-point shot in a split second. He has also improved on defense considerably and would be a brilliant addition to any contender ahead of the upcoming season.

#1 - Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry remains the undisputed king of shooting from the deep, having made 337 threes last season in 63 matches played. Curry had a near MVP season, averaging 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game. He eventually lost out to Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic but proved to the NBA fraternity that he is not done yet, despite missing a season due to a hand injury.

Curry and the Warriors are eyeing the NBA championship trophy after bolstering their squad in the summer through draft and trades, and with Klay Thompson back, Curry stands a great chance of winning his 4th ring.
