During this historic season, Westbrook averaged 10.7 rebounds for the campaign. However, it was another disappointing outing in the playoffs for the OKC Thunder as they crashed out in the first round against the Houston Rockets despite Westbrook bagging 51 points, 13 assists and ten rebounds in Game 2.
#2 2018-19 - 11.1 rebounds
The 2018-19 season saw Russell Westbrook representing the OKC Thunder for the final time. He averaged 22.9 points, 10.7 assist, and 11.1 rebounds for the season, while shooting at over 42% from the field.
Westbrook's best game of the season saw OKC win against the Utah Jazz, thanks to his 43 points, eight assists and 15 rebounds performance.
This season saw Westbrook record the second-highest rebounding average of his career. However, it was another first-round exit for Westbrook and co. Oklahoma lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in five games, including the infamous Damian Lillard game-winner from 36'.
#1 2020-21 - 11.5 rebounds
The 2020-21 season saw Russell Westbrook represent the Washington Wizards for the first and only time in his career. He averaged 22.2 points, 11.7 assists and 11.5 rebounds despite having to play with new teammates. Of the 11.5 rebounds he managed to grab, 9.9 of them were defensive ones.
Unfortunately, it was yet another first-round exit for Westbrook and co. The Wizards lost to Eastern Conference powerhouse Philadelphia 76ers in five games.
Westbrook recorded the highest rebounds average of his career this season, including a 21-rebound outing in a win against the Indiana Pacers.
