The Sacramento Kings demolished the Brooklyn Nets 153-121 on Tuesday night. The Nets’ defense was basically non-existent throughout the game and gave up multiple scoring runs to the Kings. This included a 27-4 run in the second quarter.
Sacramento also led by as many as 39 points in the third quarter. That marked the Kings’ biggest lead in a game since they were up 44 on New York on Mar. 3, 2015.

No. 5 - 142 points (four times)
The Sacramento Kings’ fifth-highest point total in a game is 142 points, which occurred on four different occasions. The first was the Kings' 147-142 double overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers back on Jan. 6, 1989. They also won 142-117 against the Golden State Warriors just one month later on Feb. 9, 1989.
More recently, Sacramento blew out the Phoenix Suns 142-119 on Jan. 2, 2016. They also beat the Orlando Magic 142-130 just last season on Dec. 8, 2021.
No. 4 - 143 points
The Kings’ fourth-highest point total in a game is 143 points. That came in a 155-143 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Mar. 4, 1989. Warriors star shooting guard Mitch Richmond dropped 47 points to lead Golden State in that game. Meanwhile, guard Danny Ainge scored a team-high 45 points for Sacramento.
No. 3 - 146 points
The Kings’ third-highest point total in a game is 146 points. This occurred in a 146-115 blowout win over the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 1, 2018. Kings star point guard De’Aaron Fox led Sacramento with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists in that game. The game marked Fox's first career triple-double.
No. 2 - 153 points
The Kings’ second-highest point total in a game is 153 points. This, of course, came on Tuesday night (Nov. 15, 2022) during the Kings' 153-121 blowout win over Brooklyn. Kings backup guard Terence Davis led Sacramento with 31 points on 12-for-16 (75.0%) shooting in just 26 minutes off the bench in that game.
No. 1 - 154 points
As for the Kings’ highest-scoring game in franchise history, that is 154 points. The Kings did so in a 154-98 blowout win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 2, 1993. Sacramento's leading scorer in that game was reserve forward Walt Williams, who scored a career-high 40 points off the bench.
