Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards preview
The Raptors got an easy win in their preseason opener against Washington even though they didn’t play most of their star players, including Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley. RJ Barrett led the team with 17 points in 14 minutes.
While Toronto is in a rebuild, Barnes showed faith in the team by signing a five-year, $224.9 million contract extension during the offseason. The team also traded for Davion Mitchell.
The Wizards are another team that is going through a rebuild after the John Wall and Bradley Beal era ended in Washington. Things didn’t look bright for the franchise in the first two preseason games.
After losing 125-98 to the Raptors, Washington suffered a 117-94 loss against the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Kyle Kuzma struggled in the game with just three points in 24 minutes.
