Tyler Herro is a professional basketball player who plays for the Miami Heat in the NBA as of February 2025. Herro was selected as the 13th overall pick by the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. Herro played 55 games in his rookie season, starting 8 games and averaging 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Since getting drafted by the Miami Heat, Herro has led the team to every playoff and even two NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023. But the Miami Heat is still to win an NBA Finals since he has been in the team. His performance in the 2021-22 season earned him the prestigious NBA Sixth Man of the Year award. In the 2023-24 season, Herro averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. In the 2024-2 season, Herro is leading the team along with Bam Adebayo as Jimmy Buttler was traded to the Golden State Warriors.

Before joining the NBA, Herro played for the University of Kentucky for one season. He averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in his college career. He was named the Southeastern Conference Rookie of the Year, for his performance with the Kentucky Wildcats. After playing one season for the Kentucky, Herro declared his name for the 2019 NBA Draft, forgoing the final three years of his college.
