He won Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division I All-State accolades and FVA Player of the Year awards for his outstanding performances.

His game elevated to new heights in his senior year as he averaged 22.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game. Also, he had an impressive average of 3.5 steals and 1.7 blocks per game, which led the Oshkosh North team to a 26–1 record. Winning the State title in his Senior year, Haliburton established himself as an impeccable star in the world of basketball.

College Success and NBA Draft

Selecting Iowa State University as his preference, Tyrese Haliburton's game continued to flourish. Although he could not make much impact in his 1st season with the team, his sophomore season was particularly remarkable. He averaged 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game as a sophomore, displaying all-around performance at a young age.

He emerged as one of the most promising players in college basketball and opted for the NBA draft. He was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft.

Haliburton's skill set was versatile and well-rounded, making him a standout player on both ends of the floor. He showcased his scoring ability, three-point shooting, and passing skills, earning accolades and recognition from fans and analysts alike. Forming a potent backcourt pairing with De’Aaron Fox, Haliburton took over the league with some authority.
