The Utah Jazz is a Salt Lake City-based American professional basketball team in the NBA. They play their home games at the Delta Center as a member of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. The team is owned by Ryan Smith.

They team was founded as the New Orleans Jazz in 1974 and qualified for their first playoffs in 1984. They made two consecutive NBA Finals, in 1997 and 1998, where they lost to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls both times.

The Utah Jazz picked three players in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft. They selected Taylor Hendricks with the ninth overall pick, Keyonte George with the 16th pick, and Brice Sensabaugh as the 28th overall pick.

Taylor Hendricks

Taylor Hendricks was born on November 22, 2003 in Deerfield Beach, Florida, U.S. At 6’9”, he plays as a power forward. He won the Florida high school Athletics Association three times and was a Second-team All-ACC and ACC All-Freshman team.

Hendricks also won the Florida 3A State Championship as a junior and won the Broward County Player of the Year as a senior after winning the championship again. His excellence in the game made him the highest ranked recruit in UCF history. He won American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week nine times. In 34 games for UCF in college, he averaged 15.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

Keyonte George

Keyonte George was born on November 8, 2003 in Lewisville, Texas, U.S. and stands at an impressive height of 6’4”. He was the 16th overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2023 Draft. He played as a point guard for Baylor in college and was named District 6-6A Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman.

George was also named Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023 and was on the Second Team All-Big 12. He led the United States to a gold medal at the FIBA 3*3 Under-18 World Cup in 2021 and was named MVP for his exceptional performance. In 33 games in college, George averaged 15.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

Brice Sensabaugh

Brice Sensabaugh was the 28th overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft. Born on October 30, 2003, he stands at a height of 6’6” and played as a small forward for Ohio State. He was named Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week for three consecutive weeks, as well as the third team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman team in 2023. In 33 games in college, Sensabaugh averaged 16.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
