Just past midnight on Sunday according to Indian time, the Dallas Mavericks were playing the New Orleans Pelicans in the Las Vegas Summer. With the possibility of Satnam Singh making his Summer League debut, the game was broadcasted on channel Sony Six in India. Making this the first time a NBA Summer League was televised in India.

In their first game of the Summe League, the Mavericks went down to the New Orleans Pelicans behind League MVP Stephen Curry’s brother Seth Curry’s 25 points. More importantly, Satnam Singh made his debut and played a total 11 minutes. He had 4 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assists to show off for.

The Mavericks franchise has reiterated time and again that Singh was a project and a player who would spend time in the NBA Development League before he makes his NBA debut. So considering that, this first show for Singh was an effective and productive one as he had a team high +10 in the +/- column of his box score. Meanwhile fellow rookie Justin Anderson, the team’s 21st pick in the 2015 Draft top scored for the team with 25 points.
