Vlatko Čančar is a professional basketball player from Slovenia and plays for the Denver Nuggets as a center in the NBA as of May 2025. Born in Koper, Slovenia, on April 10, 1997, Vlatko Cancar chose basketball as a profession. He used to play basketball in Europe before coming to the United States, playing for the Denver Nuggets, and helping them lift the NBA championship in 2023.

On the national level, Vlatko Cancar is a member of Slovenia's senior national team. He joined the national team at the 2017 EuroBasket in Turkey, averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in nine games and helped his team win a gold medal. Additionally, he also competed with Team Slovenia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. For the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, Vlatko Cancar was selected to be a member of the Slovenian team. However, he suffered a torn ACL in the left knee during a game between Slovenia and Greece.
