"Black Adam" star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently narrated an incredible tape of Kevin Durant, who is gearing up for his season opener with the Brooklyn Nets. While there is no doubt that the Nets superstar is already motivated, the video will definitely hype him up even more.

In the video, the popular actor spoke about Durant's failures and the disappointing season he had last year. He also addressed how it is time for the two-time NBA champion to prove his doubters wrong and dominate the league once again.

"In this world, there are heroes and there are villains. Last year as the world focused on your failures, who saw friends become foes and others cement their place in history without you, questions from those watching as your legacy became riddled with doubt.
"But in order to reach your pinnacle once again, it's time to make a choice. You can be the destroyer of this league, or you can be its savior."

While Kevin Durant is more of a villain in the eyes of fans, he could redeem himself and win the NBA championship next year.

Johnson's newest movie comes out on Friday, October 21 and the latest video is part of its promotion. Fans have had a chance to watch several such trailers for the movie, which are all narrated by the popular actor.

Besides acting, Dwayne Johnson has also been involved in professional wrestling and played football at one point in his life. He is now one of the most popular celebrities in the world and a lot of NBA players are friends with him.

Can Kevin Durant win it all?

In the video, Dwayne Johnson mentioned other players who cemented their place in history, referencing Steph Curry, who recently won his fourth championship in eight years.

Curry and Durant played together a few years ago, winning two championships. Unfortunately for Durant, these are the only two championships the Brooklyn Nets superstar has won in his impressive NBA career.

Durant signed with the Nets with the goal of forming his own super team. With Kyrie Irving and James Harden on the roster, it seemed that the Nets were going to win it all. Unfortunately for them, Kyrie Irving missed almost two-thirds of last season and the team was swept in the first round by the Boston Celtics.

However, the Nets have improved over the past few months and could have a deep playoff run this season. But Kevin Durant will have to be a leader and let his play do the talking.

The Nets will host the New Orleans Pelicans in their opening game of the season. Durant has averaged 26.2 points per game on 51.8% shooting against the Pelicans and will be hoping for another impressive outing.
