On September 21, 2003, Kobe Bufkin was born to father, Mike Bufkin, and mother, Kimberly Camp in Michigan, U.S. Kobe initially chose the Grand Rapids Christian school for his high school basketball career and played for the Varsity team. As a Sophomore, he scored an average of 20 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists ppg and helped his team to achieve a 16-6 record. After averaging 25 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists as a senior, he was named to the McDonald’s All-American game.

Kobe prefers the University of Michigan for his college basketball over several other offers from Ohio State, LSU, and DePaul. As a freshman, he helped the team in qualifying for the NCAA tournament for the 2021-22 season.
