Caitlin Clark's impressive season ended with the Iowa Hawkeyes' 102-85 loss in the NCAA national championship game to Alexis Morris and the LSU Tigers on Sunday. Clark had another fantastic performance, but it wasn't enough for Iowa.
During the game, Clark was taunted by a couple of LSU players. Angel Reese mocked her for not getting the ring and Morris talked about her during the championship celebration.
Morris was phenomenal in the final game of the NCAA Tournament. The LSU Tigers guard ended up scoring 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting and recorded a game-high nine assists.
After the game, she told Clark that she needed to show more respect to herself and the Tigers.
"Caitlin, you had an amazing game, you’re a great player, but you got to put some respect on LSU," Morris said. "You got to put some respect on my name."
Morris' comments were surprising since Caitlin Clark did not really say anything about LSU or her opponent before the game.

The LSU Tigers star was possibly referring to the semifinal game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Morris did not like the way the Hawkeyes defended the Gamecocks and found it disrespectful.
"I don't think they can guard us that way," Morris said before the championship game.
"I don't think you can just leave me open on the perimeter or leave us open on the perimeter. I find it very disrespectful, so I'm going to take that personally going into that game."
Caitlin Clark had 41 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the game as No. 2 Iowa defeated No. 1 South Carolina. The Gamecocks went 4-for-20 from long range.
Leaving players open at the 3-point line worked out well for the Hawkeyes since the Gamecocks had struggled to hit long-range shots all year long, converting only 31.5%. They ranked outside the top 100 in 3-point percentage.
