Born on February 17, 1963, Michael Jordan or often referred to as ‘MJ,’ is considered as the greatest basketball player of all time by many. He won six championships with the Chicago Bulls, and was named Finals MVP on all occasions.

MJ was an elite two-way player who contributed on both ends of the court. He was often acknowledged for his scoring and excellent leaping abilities. His famous dunk from the free-throw line earned him the name ‘Air Jordan,’ which is now one of the biggest sneaker brands globally.

Jordan has earned all the accolades which a player could ask for, he has been an NBA All-Star 14 times, an NBA MVP 5 times, and represented the USA at the Olympic games, helping them win the gold twice.

Michael Jordan played only two seasons with the Wizards after his second retirement in January 1999. For the 2001-02 season, Jordan said that he will be donating all his salary to the charity in order to support the 9/11 victims. During his first season with the Wizards, he appeared in 60 games where in an average playing time of 34.9 minutes, he averaged 22.9 ppg and 5.7 rpg. All this helped the team to finish with a 37-45 record. However, Wizards missed out the playoffs journey as few players for the team were injured including Jordan.

In his final season with the Wizards, Jordan came forth in all the 82 games with the team, the season went successful for him as he won his 14th and final All-Star selection. However, despite him playing at an elite level, the team was unable to qualify for the postseason during MJ’s time. He scored more than 40 points thrice, 30 or more nine times and averaged 20.0 ppg, and 6.1 rpg in his final NBA season. These statistics were not bad considering that he was a 40-year old player.

Additionally, during the 2003 All-Star game, Jordan became the leading scorer in All-Star Game history, overtaking Kareem-Addul Jabbar's record.
