Kristaps Porzingis keeps dealing with injuries in the 2024-25 NBA season, sustaining another during Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Latvian big man didn't return to the court as the second half started and stayed in the locker room with left ankle soreness. Luke Kornet replaced him.
Porzingis played 13 minutes in the first half, scoring nine points, to go along with two rebounds and three assists. The Celtics were trying to get close to the 76ers after entering halftime trailing the visitors 66-58.
Kristaps Porzingis proved to be a crucial player for the Celtics' success last season, which is why many people worry about this situation. After winning his first NBA championship last season, Porzingis entered this campaign set to add more silverware to his cabinet, but injuries have been a major obstacle for him again.

Out of 11 games he's played this season, Porzingis has exited three with an injury. His body has been his major source of concern in recent times and that trend doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

Plenty of fans were unhappy about Kristaps Porzingis' latest injury, with some fans mocking him for not being able to perform at the best level for a team that expects plenty of things from a player of his caliber. Some noted how much his injuries have affected his availability this campaign.
"Kristaps Porzingis has played 11 games this season. He has left with an injury in 3 of them," one fan wrote.
"I don’t believe in Porzingis staying healthy anymore. I just pray he’ll be healthy when it matters the most like last season lmao," another fan said.
"Embiid, Luka, KP, Kahwi and Zion for all-nba 1st it's always something team," another fan said.
Joe Mazzulla shared that Porzingis was feeling ok before he was reevaluated at halftime and forced to stay out.
Moreover, Celtics reporter Jay King revealed that Porzingis left the arena on his means and didn't need extra help for his ankle.
"Kristaps Porzingis just left the Celtics locker room without any brace visible on his ankle. Looked to be moving OK while walking out."
The Celtics dropped to 22-8 after losing 118-114 to the 76ers and will return to the court on Friday for the first of two consecutive games against the Indiana Pacers.
