Anžejs Pasečņiks is a professional basketball player born in Riga, Latvia, and plays in the Basketball Super League and the FIBA Europe Cup for the Tofaş Spor Kulübü as of January 2025. He made his professional debut for the VEF Rīga of the Latvian professional basketball league. Before joining the NBA, he played for the Dreamland Gran Canaria of the Spain Liga Endesa for four seasons from 2015 to 2019. Pasečņiks scored 1,469 points, grabbed 654 rebounds, and dished out 98 assists in 182 appearances in the Spain Liga Endesa, according to Proballlers.
Pasečņiks was drafted in the 2017 NBA draft as a 25th overall pick in the first round by the Orlando Magic. He was later traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, and on July 3, 2019, after the Sixers renounced their draft rights to Pasečņiks, he joined the Washington Wizards. As of January 2025, he has appeared in 28 NBA games, averaging 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game as per Basketball Reference. On 17 January 2021, Pasečņiks was waived by the Washington Wizards.
