Angel Reese isn't interested in visiting the White House. The LSU Tigers won the national championship on Sunday, but First Lady Jill Biden suggested that the Iowa Hawkeyes, the runners-up, visit the president's residence as well.
The Tigers forward, however, recently revaled that her team refused to see the First Lady even before the national championship game. Due to this, many basketball fans wonder what Jill Biden said about LSU.
It turns out that Angel Reese and the Tigers were upset that president Joe Biden didn't pick them to win the national tournament. The 46th US president picked Villanova to win it all, while he had the Tigers getting eliminated in the second round.
“I think Joe Biden had put somebody else to win the national championship,” Reese said on the Paper Route Podcast. “He didn’t even put us on his bucket to get out of Baton Rouge."
The president had the Tigers winning only one game in the tournament. However, they've gone all the way to the end and captured the national championship, mostly thanks to Reese's amazing performances.
Angel Reese felt disrespected by Jill Biden before the national championship game
The 6-foot-3 LSU forward revealed that the First Lady was supposed to meet both teams before the national championship game. While she's not sure if Jill Biden visited the Iowa Hawkeyes, she clarified that the Tigers didn't want her in their locker room.
"We didn’t want her coming into the locker room," Reese revealed.
The LSU star then proceeded to record a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead her team to a national championship.
After the game, Biden suggested that both the Tigers and the Hawkeyes visit the White House, which made Angel Reese even more upset.

The honor of visiting the White House belongs to the winner, not to the runner-up, which is why Biden's suggestion was quite odd. The First Lady eventually backtracked, but the 20-year-old basketball star did not care.
Reese's comments have sparked even more controversy and criticism as she said that the Tigers would go to the Obamas, who resided in the White House from 2009 to 2017.

The 6-3 forward was named the NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player after a fantastic run in which she averaged a double-double. Ever since then, she's made numerous headlines and it will be interesting to see if the Tigers end up visiting the White House.
