Kevin Ollie is a basketball coach and former player. He is best known for coaching the UConn Huskies for six seasons and winning the national championship with them. Ollie was recently affiliated with Overtime Elite.

The 50-year-old coach had a lengthy legal battle with the University of Connecticut. He was fired after two losing seasons, but decided to sue the university after it refused to pay him the remaining money on his contract. Ollie ended up winning $3.9 million.

Kevin Ollie left Overtime Elite in March 2023

Kevin Ollie was named Head of Coaching and Basketball Development with Overtime Elite in April 2021. However, after nearly two years in the league, he stepped down. Dave Leitao, a former assistant at UConn, replaced Ollie.

The national-championship winning coach seems to be currently unemployed. However, his latest Instagram post implies that he's looking for another job. Considering how much experience Ollie has, he'll likely coach another team very soon.

The basketball coach is best known for leading the UConn Huskies to a national championship in the 2013-14 season. Shabazz Napier was fantastic in the run and led No. 7 UConn over No. 8 Kentucky in the championship game.

In six years with Connecticut, Ollie had a 127-79 record. However, he failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in the last two seasons, which is why he was fired and replaced by Dan Hurley.

Back in May 2014, Kevin Ollie's contract was extended by the Huskies. They gave him five more years and he was paid up to $3 million per season. When the team fired him in March 2018, the coach demanded that the school pay him the remainder of his contract.

The two sides reached a settlement in September 2022 as the coach received $3.9 million. Besides his coaching contracts, Kevin Ollie's net worth has also benefited from his playing career in the NBA.

Ollie was a 6-foot-4 combo guard who played for 12 teams during his 13-year NBA career. Only Ish Smith has played for more NBA teams. The former player has played 82 or more games only with the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. For every other team, Ollie played in 54 or fewer games.

The journeyman has made approximately $20.1 million during his playing career. His most profitable season was 2007-08 as he received $3.4 million from the 76ers.
