Orlando Robinson of the Miami Heat is currently the 512th-best-paid player in the NBA. Robinson signed a two-way contract with the Heat in December 2022. The front office decided to make space for Robinson by releasing Dru Smith. A few weeks earlier, the opposite had taken place.
Robinson was initially signed by the Miami Heat. Upon being released, he joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA G League. The second two-way contract is a two-year deal with a projected salary of over $1.7 million for the 2023-24 NBA season. However, for the 2022-23 NBA season, Robinson would earn slightly more than $350,000.
As things stand, Orlando Robinson will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. With the Miami Heat hoping to make a deep push in the playoffs this season, Orlando Robinson has proved quite useful. The 22-year-old has played 18 games and is averaging 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.

He is a solid defender and can prove to be a huge bargain and a useful rotation player for the rest of the season.
Orlando Robinson proving to be a tidy move for the Miami Heat
The 22-year-old is averaging slightly more than 15 minutes per game and is understandably playing second fiddle to Bam Adebayo.
However, Robinson is still putting up some impressive numbers. Apart from his 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, Robinson is also efficient with his shooting. Robinson might not be a 3-point shooter, but his mid-range jumper is extremely efficient. He has a field goal percentage of 55.7% and a free-throw percentage of 81.3%.
Standing at 6 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 235 pounds, Orlando is also a smart defender, and his G-League experience has proved extremely useful. After going undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft, Robinson was signed by the Miami Heat in July 2022.
The move may have come after some uncertainty, but the player is expected to be signed permanently by the Heat. There is little doubt that Robinson could prove to be a huge asset in the coming years as he is likely to continue to grow as a player.
