Despite being only 45, Lue has a lot of experience and has three NBA Finals appearances and one championship. He's hoping to take the Clippers to the promised land this season, which could certainly happen.

Tyronn Lue's contract lasts for two more seasons
As a player, Tyronn Lue spent 11 years in the NBA playing for seven different teams. He won two championship rings with the LA Lakers in 2000 and 2001. Lue retired after the 2008-09 season at 32 years old.
Two years later, the former player got his first coaching job as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics. He was also an assistant for the LA Clippers before becoming head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he won his first ring as a coach.
Tyronn Lue's contract with the LA Clippers was signed in October 2022. The coach received a five-year deal with the Western Conference team and is paid approximately $7 million per year.

In his first season with the Clippers, Lue led the team to a 47-25 record. The Clippers had a deep playoff run and made the Western Conference finals, where they lost to the Phoenix Suns in six games.
The Clippers were very close to making their first NBA Finals appearance. Unfortunately for them, they lost a couple of close games and allowed the Suns to beat them by five points combined in two games of the series.

The Clippers are currently fifth in the West and are far from being favorites to win it all. However, if Kawhi Leonard and Paul George stay healthy in the playoffs, anything could happen and the Clippers could have another deep playoff run.
