Vanessa Bryant has reached a settlement with Los Angeles County in which she will receive nearly $30 million due to graphic photos of the helicopter crash that killed both Kobe and Gianna Bryant being shared by employees of the sheriff's department. The New York Times reported the news, stating via Twitter:
"Breaking News: Los Angeles County agreed to pay Vanessa Bryant and her daughters nearly $30 million to settle a lawsuit and potential claims over the sharing of graphic photos of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe and Gianna Bryant in January 2020."
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Bryant has a net worth of $600 million, which can largely be attributed to Kobe Bryant's earnings both on and off the court. The LA Lakers legend passed away in 2020 with a net worth of $600 million. Vanessa has previously stated that she will look to donate the proceeds from the lawsuit to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Has Vanessa Bryant commented on her settlement with Los Angeles County?
Vanessa Bryant has not publicly commented on the settlement reached between her family and Los Angeles County. Luis Li, the attorney representing the Bryant family, discussed the news, however, stating:
"Today marks the successful culmination of Mrs. Bryant’s courageous battle to hold accountable those who engaged in this grotesque conduct. She fought for her husband, her daughter, and all those in the community whose deceased family were treated with similar disrespect. We hope her victory at trial and this settlement will put an end to this practice."
In her deposition, Bryant shared that she was fearful of the crash site photos popping up as her daughters scrolled through social media. Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant are survived by Vanessa, as well as daughters Natalia, Bianka and Capri, ages 20, six and three, respectively.
