Dallas Mavericks superstar guard Luka Doncic made headlines in the 2020-2021 NBA season when he appeared to flirt with referee Ashley Moyer-Gleich. The interaction took place on March 17, 2021 as the Mavs faced off against the LA Clippers at home with no fans in attendance.
Moyer-Gleich called a foul on then-Mavericks center Willie Cauley-Stein with 9:57 left in the second quarter, with LA leading 35-31. The foul sent Clippers’ star wing Paul George to the line for two free throws. While George was shooting, Doncic proceeded to walk over to Moyer-Gleich and flirted with a slick play on words. Doncic appeared to say:
"There's a foul."
Moyer-Gleich responded in confusion.:

“What foul? What foul?”
Doncic replied jokingly:
“[I'm] Fouling in love with you."
The whole back-and-forth between the two immediately led Moyer-Gleich to break out a big smirk. Meanwhile, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue also appeared to hear Doncic’s comments as he smiled as well.
The Mavericks went on to win the game 105-89. Meanwhile, Doncic had a monster performance with 42 points, six rebounds, nine assists and six made 3-pointers on 16-for-28 (57.1%) shooting. With the win, the Mavs won their season series against the Clippers 2-1.
