Steph Curry likely to miss Pistons vs Warriors game
Steph Curry left Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with a jammed right index finger. While he is listed as day-to-day on Golden State’s injury report, the team is likely to be cautious and not play him on Sunday. The injury isn’t serious and X-rays came back negative.
Even though later diagnosis showed the injury wasn’t serious, it did scare coach Steve Kerr during the game. He said post-game on Friday, via NBC Sports Bay Area:
“Always. Steph is Steph, so. I was assured at halftime that he was fine. X-rays were negative. It wasn’t anything too concerning. But, yeah, you always get nervous when he gets hurt.”
Kerr also said that Steph Curry was supposed to get extended minutes but the injury limited him to the first two quarters. Kerr said after the game:
“He was going to actually play into the third quarter tonight for the first time [this preseason]. But when he jammed his finger, it made no sense to send him back out there.”
Curry finished the game with six points, four assists and three rebounds.
