Walsh joined the NBA when he was drafted as the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He got traded to the Celtics and signed a four-year contract worth $7.6 million. In his rookie season, Walsh appeared in nine games while staying on the court for 9.2 minutes per game.

He won the 2024 NBA championship with the Boston Celtics. As of March 31, 2025, he has appeared in 55 games, collecting 1.4 rebounds and 1.6 points per game.

Jordan E. Walsh attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team, which competes in the Southeastern Conference. Walsh posted four points and grabbed two rebounds while taking a victory from North Dakota State on November 7, 2022. As a freshman, he appeared in 36 games, scoring 255 points, grabbing 141 rebounds, and creating 33 successful opportunities as per his college profile. He scored 18 points, his college career best, against Bradley on December 17, 2022.
