Marcus Sasser is a well-known Basketball personality who plays for the Houston Cougars, one of the top contender teams in the American Athletic Conference. Sasser's journey to becoming a top performer for the Cougars began during his time at Red Oak High School, where Sasser grew and developed his game with a passion.

Situated in Red Oak, Ellis County, Texas, Red Oak High School has produced a decent number of college-level basketball athletes, one of them being Marcus Jerome Sasser. During his time at Red Oak, Marcus was popular for his accurate shooting and ball-handling skills.

Marcus was consistent in putting up good numbers on the board, averaging 17 points per game during his senior year. His performance and dedicated efforts earned him multiple accolades, including winning the District MVP honors twice and the All-State honors.

After his High School graduation in 2019, Marcus joined the University of Houston upon offers from multiple other institutions to continue pursuing his interest in the sport in his home state.

His first season with the Cougars was a hit and a miss. He did put up some good numbers in select matches but was overall just about average with his contributions to the team. Marcus averaged close to nine points with 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game during the 2019-2020 season.

However, in 2020 we got to see some consistency from Marcus. That season he averaged 13.7 points per game with 1.4 steals and 2.2 assists on 38% shooting from the field.

The 2021-2022 has been Marcus’s best season to date. He averaged 17.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game with a field goal shooting percentage of 43.

Marcus Sasser’s 2022-2023 season showed the same consistency and efficiency; maintaining 16.8 points per game on 43% shooting from the field.

It is clear that Marcus possesses all the required qualities to be productive at the highest level. His skilfulness on both ends of the court; discipline; perseverance; dedication among others are what makes him stand out as one of today’s best college basketball players.

Overall, Marcus Sasser's story serves as a testament to how hard work can pay off in sports – or any other endeavor one chooses to pursue seriously.
