Spain will be playing their 13th FIBA competition in just a few weeks, this time Rudy Fernandez has the command of Team Spain and is ready to prevail with their powerful performance, same as of the 2019 World Cup. Spanish Star’s Juancho Hernangomez, and 2022 EuroBasket MVP, Willy Hernangomez, will be leading the team from the front and are expected to give a good start.

Currently, Spain is in another zone, in the recent EuroBasket Cup, they faced strong teams like France, Lithuania, and Finland so fearlessly, and overruled them in the whole tournament. Hernangomez posted a 27 points game against France in the finals and snagged the 2022 EuroBasket Title for the fourth time. Earlier being in 2009, 2011, and 2015.

Juancho Hernangomez, Team Spain

Hernangomez, 27, was the final Most valuable player in the 2022 EuroBasket Championship. He is a power forward for the Spanish national team and has gathered years of experience by playing in the NBA and European leagues. His NBA Journey lasted for seven years, where he switched multiple teams, starting from Denver Nuggets in 2016 to Utah Jazz, and Toronto Raptors in 2022, and 2023.

Team Spain has a rich basketball history and has always come front when it comes to giving NBA players. Spain has been participating in the World Cup and Olympic tournament since the very early times, the first long run for the team was in the Olympics of 1984, where they made it to the finals. Unfortunately, the team loses against the USA in a close competitive match. That was the time when young Michael Jordan and Patrick Beverly were spotlighting the USA roster.

Thereafter, in the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, after a tough fight through the league Spain again made it to the finals, and both times the opponent was again the USA, but the results were the same, and Spain again has to be satisfied with the Silver medal.
