Nicolas Batum plays for the French National Basketball team. He has been an integral part of the French team and has represented them in many international tournaments. He has helped his national side accomplish numerous achievements, like winning the FIBA Europe Under-16 championship, FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, and EuroBasket 2013. He was named FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship MVP for his performance and was selected for the FIBA Europe Under-18 All-Tournament team.


Batum was also part of the squad that won silver in the EuroBasket 2011 and 2020 Summer Olympics and bronze in the 2015 EuroBasket, FIBA Under-19 World Cup 2007, FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 and FIBA World Cup 2019. He was named to the FIBA World Cup All-Tournament Team for his exceptional performance in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He was named French basketball player of the year in 2021 for his performance in the French team.


Batum is one of the shareholders in Tony Parker’s Infinity Nine Sports, which runs ASVEL Basket, a French basketball club. Batum took over the position of director for ASVEL Basket. He became LNB Pro A Champion and French Cup Champion as the Director of ASVEL Basket in 2019.


Batum has been selected to the 12-member roster of team France and will once again represent France in the FIBA World Cup 2023 that will be played from August 25, 2023, to September 10, 2023, in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan. Batum has announced that he will retire from basketball after the 2024 Paris Olympics, which means this will be his last World Cup appearance and Batum will do his best for the team.
