When it comes to an athlete, winning any title is a very prestigious thing to achieve in his career. Some players reach “iconic” status by winning multiple accolades and championships in their respective sports, but very few have won those awards early in their careers. Dariq Whitehead is an exception though.
At just 17 years of age, he already has almost everything that is available in that phase. He won four national titles with his high school team. Dariq was also the top North American high school player in 2021-22. The talented forward also won both MVP awards at the Nike Hoop Summit and McDonald's All-American. He left no award unattained winning the High School national player of the year in his senior year.
Certainly followed by many and is considered one of the best prospects in the high school class of 2022. He played for Duke for one season and will gain more experience with the team before entering the NBA. But which high School did Whitehead go to?

The New Jersey-born Whitehead attended Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. Setting a new record for the high school, Whitehead remains the only player from Montverde Academy to have four national titles. The High school had many high-profile players like Ben Simmons, Cade Cunningham, D'Angelo Russell, Scottie Barnes, and RJ Barrett.
In the McDonald's All-American Game Whitehead scored 13 points with seven rebounds and seven assists winning the MVP trophy to add to his award collection. Whitehead looks very focused on his basketball career at an early age he participated in the 2019 USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team October minicamp.
