Jett Howard is a top prospect in the upcoming NBA draft of 2023. Hailing from a family who has close ties with basketball, Howard has made a name for himself in the college basketball world. His father, Juwan Howard is an ex-NBA champion and the current head coach of the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team. Jett Howard has a brother named Jace Howard who played with him in high school as well as in the University of Michigan. He also has half-brothers who have played Division 1 basketball. Furthermore, Jett is the second cousin of Jaden McDaniels and Jalen McDaniels.

As a basketball player, Jett Howard is known to space the floor well and play with other players who have the ball in their hands. He is not known to be very athletic despite being reasonably tall for his position and having a large wingspan. His vertical jump is reportedly low. As the season progressed, Jett has proven to be a premier off-ball player who has great shot-making ability. He is also a good defensive player making him a 3-and-D prospect. Howard also is observed to have good footwork on drives and is always looking for outlet pass opportunities.

In addition, his family ties also show off his NBA pedigree which is likely why he understands the game well.

At IMG, Howard began to recognize his strengths and further honed those strengths and worked on his weaknesses to become a better player all around. Howard and his teammates, Jaden Bradley and Moussa Diabate who was a fellow Michigan University commit, took the team as far as the semi-finals of the Geico National tournament in 2021.
