Marrecus Keyontae Johnson, a college basketball player for the Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference, was born in the country on May 24, 2000. Previously, Johnson competed for the Florida Gators. He had four stars when he was a recruit after high school. Johnson, who began his true freshman season as a critical reserve, was the Gators' starting small forward for the team's contest against Georgia in 2018. He started the final 20 games of the season and finished with 8.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

After his head coach, Vince Walden, departed the school to take a position as an assistant coach at Arkansas State, the player spent one season playing at IMG before transferring once again to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, for his final year. Johnson had a game average of 7.6 rebounds and 12.9 points at the Nike EYBL finals at Peach Jam. He had at least 18 points in 19 of Oak Hill's games as a senior.
