Markquis Nowell at The Patrick School
Under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Bob Hurley Sr., Nowell started his high school career at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. In order to play with Julian and Justin Champagnie at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School during his sophomore and junior years, he transferred schools after obtaining little playing time following his freshman year. As a junior, Nowell averaged 19.9 points and 8.1 assists per game. Nowell then took his talents to The Patrick School for his final year. Despite missing a month due to injury, Nowell scored 10.9 points per game. Before Little Rock took a look at him after high school, he had yet to get any Division 1 offers.
