Yves Missi is a basketball player of Belgian-Cameroonian origin. As a freshman at Baylor University of the Big 12 Conference, Missi has garnered a lot of attention as a top prospect in the 2024 NBA draft. Missi was born in Belgium on May 14, 2004.

Missi moved to the United States in the hopes of pursuing a career in basketball. He joined the basketball team at West Nottingham Academy but later transferred to Prolific Prep. At Prolific Prep, Miss averaged just over 9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. During his high school career, Missi developed himself as a top contributor and took part in many coveted events such as the Nike Hoop Summit and Nike Elite Youth Basketball League where his performance was impressive.

Finishing his high school career as a 4-star recruit and ranked 2nd best player in California, Missi committed to play college basketball at Baylor University in Texas. In 34 games played, Missi averaged 10.7 points and 5.6 rebounds each game. As a freshman, Missi is noted to be an explosive center with remarkable shot-blocking ability and efficiency under the rim. His performances ultimately earned him individual accolades such as Big 12 All-Freshman honours and Big 12 All-Defensive honours.
