In his junior year (2022-23), Edey delivered one of the most dominant statistical seasons, averaging 22.3 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, earning him all six major National Player of the Year awards. He also led the nation with 27 double-doubles and set a Purdue record with 438 rebounds in a season. Edey’s senior year (2023-24) was even better, with him averaging 25.2 points, and 12.2 rebounds, and becoming the only NCAA player to meet benchmarks in points, rebounds, blocks, and assists per game at such high levels. He swept all six National Player of the Year honors again, making him the first player since Bill Walton to do so for two consecutive seasons.

Edey consistently broke records, including career marks with 2,516 points and 1,321 rebounds. His performances in the NCAA Tournament were historic, with seven straight games of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, including a standout 37 points in the NCAA Championship game. He finished his Purdue career with a Big Ten record for career double-doubles and seven career Big Ten Player of the Week honors.
