Zach Edey is still trying to find consistency in the NBA. The Memphis Grizzlies rookie has had ups and downs to start the season but has shown flashes of what he could do at the highest level.

The former Purdue star and his team faced the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, hoping to win their third game of the season, reach the .500 mark, and climb in the Southwest Division standings.

The Grizzlies ran over the Bucks in the first quarter of the game, winning it 40-24 behind Scottie Pippen Jr.'s 13 points and Ja Morant's 10 units. Edey played four minutes and scored two points on 1-of-2 from the field. He recorded a block for the inspired Grizzlies, who took a big early lead.

Zach Edey played seven more minutes in the second quarter, adding two points, three rebounds, and one block to his account. The Grizzlies won this period too, entering halftime with a 70-48 advantage over one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Grizzlies didn't take their foot off the gas and continued dominating in the third quarter. Zach Edey scored six points after playing five minutes in this period. He added two more rebounds but committed the first turnover of the game.

Memphis confirmed a victory that it bagged from the first quarter. Milwaukee won this period 29-23, but it wasn't enough to even get close to the Grizzlies. Zach Edey played seven more minutes to finish the night with 10 points. He shot 5-from-9 from the field while grabbing eight rebounds, recording one steal and a block.

The Grizzlies are now 3-3 while the Bucks drop to 1-4 and the alarms are already sounding for Doc Rivers and his coaching staff.

The first time he went over the nine-point threshold was against the Houston Rockets in the second game of the season. He scored 13 points in 23 minutes that day. On Wednesday, he scored the same number of points against the Brooklyn Nets in 18 minutes of action.

Tonight, he scored 10 points, marking the third time that Edey has scored in double digits this season.

He's still trying to get the hang of the league, but Edey is looking pretty solid. The Grizzlies offer him a chance to shine and he's trying to get the most out of it.
